Our Mission

The goals of the Merriam Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) are to promote and facilitate parent and faculty communication; advocate for Merriam students; encourage parent involvement in the Merriam community; enhance Merriam community relations; and raise funds to enrich the educational experience at Merriam School.

The best way to meet families and get involved with the school is to get involved either in the classroom or with the PTO! The PTO is welcoming any and all families who have a few moments to help with community building activities the PTO manages. Send us a quick email and we'll find a good fit!

room parents needed

Room Parents Needed for Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd & 5th Grades

This is a great opportunity to get involved with your child's class. Typical duties include being available as a resource to the teacher, sending emails/making calls regarding class events, contacting new families to welcome them to Merriam, organizing one social function for parents during the year. Room Parent duties can be shared by two people. School Picture Day is Wednesday, September 8th

Back to School Picnic, Friday September 10th

Friday, September 10th is the Back to School Picnic from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Bring dinner, chairs and blankets for your family and connect with the Merriam Community. Parents or guardians must stay with their children. No alcohol is allowed on school grounds.
