Cultural Enrichment News

On Monday, Jan 30th from 8:40am to 9:00am, The Proscenium Circus, the student theater of Acton Boxborough Regional High School, will perform an excerpt from their upcoming play, Pippin.  Pippin is the son of Charlemagne, a great medieval ruler. Pippin believes he is destined for an extraordinary life if he can only discover what he is meant to do. His search leads him to become a soldier, a politician, an artist, and to a relationship with a young widow named Catherine – but nothing makes him happy. His father is too busy being king to help him. Fastrada, his devious stepmother, is determined to see that her son, Lewis, becomes Charlemagne’s successor.  Pippin’s search leads him to the grand finale of the show and a choice that only he can make.  Show dates are Feb 3, 4, 5, 10 & 11.  This special performance is brought to Merriam by the Cultural Enrichment Committee.
