The Merriam PTO is comprised of parents and staff dedicated to raising funds to help provide a classroom assistant for every classroom in grades K-6. The fundraising goal for the 2016-17 school year is $90,000. This year, the Fall Appeal will be our largest fundraising effort. All of the Appeal’s monies go directly toward providing our children with greater individualized attention in the classroom than would otherwise be possible. Many people appreciate the basic simplicity of the Appeal Donation. There is a suggested donation of $250 per family, where possible, and families who donate $250 or more will receive a special Merriam spirit item as a thank you. This suggested donation figure is reached by dividing the target fundraising figure by the number of Merriam families. Every donation value is greatly appreciated, small, target, or large!
