From your PTO Board – On Going Paperless

Dear Merriam Community,

Over the past few months we’ve been working behind the scenes to try to streamline our communication methods, in order to reduce paper usage, and also to reduce duplication of information.  We are extremely pleased to announce that this week we will be launching our revamped N2K, which will link to detailed information and downloadable forms on our website, and which will also incorporate all the familiar information you have come to expect in the monthly Newsletter which has traditionally arrived in your Friday packages (Notes from Ed and Juliana, Health Services Messages, and the occasional Guest or Spotlight article).  With the forms available online and the Newsletter merged with the N2K, we hope to transition fully to paperless communication (which has been a popular request of this community) as of March 3rd, 2017.   Some forms, such as Field Trip forms, for example, will continue to travel home as usual with your children.

As with any transition, we expect a few hiccups along the way, and we hope you will be patient with us during this time.  Constructive input is always welcome.

All forms will be printed and available in limited quantities to be picked up in the office for those who need this service.  If you still need to regularly receive paper forms for any reason, please contact Kate Lemke (katherine.lemke@gmail.com) so that we may work to accommodate you.

We sincerely hope you will enjoy the new interface –  and as always we encourage you to participate in the Merriam Facebook Community.

Warm regards from the PTO Board

P.S. – If you do not regularly receive the N2K in your email, and would like to be placed on the mailing list, please subscribe at https://www.merriampto.org/site/n2k/!
