So much to be grateful about!

What happened on Theme Day?   The students attended improv sessions on how to ‘flip’ negative feelings or experiences and to find the silver lining, the things to be grateful for, they took walks to examine the little things we sometimes don’t notice, or take for granted, and took time to discuss what things we can find to be grateful for in the ordinary, or ways to see the extraordinary that is sometimes hidden around us.   Finally the students created personalized Gratitude Journals  to bring home, with prompts to continue their personal explorations in incorporation appreciation into their daily lives.   The HighSchool students who presented the improv sessions were widely applauded and the kids eagerly commented on their performances.  Students, teachers, administration, staff, volunteers and presenters – THANK YOU – for the efforts you put in, which helped to make the day possible and wonderful.
